The arrested general for military coup is from Kosovo

Turkish media reported that they had arrested General Adem Huduti, who was part of the coup against the government. Huduti was born in Kosovo in 1952 and is the commander of the Second Army, Infantry part of the Turkish Armed Forces. BBC writes that he is the highest military figures arrested so far, along with Akin Ozturk.

Huduti, born in Kosovo, has migrated to Turkey and graduated from the Military Academy in 1973. He served in the infantry Division III at the border with Greece, the VII Infantry Brigade at the border with Russia and participated in the IX Corps Turkish Army.

For many years, he has contributed to allied ground forces of NATO Southern Europe, in Italy. In 2014, Huduti was promoted to lieutenant general and was appointed to the Second Army, the largest military formation of infantry Armed Forces in Turkey.

After the 11 September 2001 attacks in the US, Huduti served in Afghanistan, where he lead Turkish troops.
