A police official has used a gun today early in the morning to prevent an attack against him. He has shot the suspect known by initials IL (1998) who later has passed away, the police inform.

The incident has occurred in front of the Al Petrol fuel pump, around 30 meters away from the exterior fence gate of Police station in Decan.

“Despite the effort of the medical team which at the scene had concluded that the victim was still alive, who with ambulance was sent to the Regional Hospital of Peja, passed away at the hospital the medical team informs,” is said in police statement.

State prosecutor, Kosovo Police Inspectorate and relevant units of Kosovo police have been informed linked to the case, who have gone to the scene and investigated it led by the state prosecutor.

The case is being investigated by the investigators of Kosovo Police Inspectorate in coordination with state prosecutor to find out how the incident has occurred which is being considered as a ‘murder’ for now.
